Catalogue of Imaginary Beings, Plate 141 13” x 19” C-Type print
This piece is great for someone with an eye for style, and is best in a bright room with red and/or blue flairs.
Here Goodman uses her classic composition with the added artistic benefit of a natural, impressive subject matter. The mountains add a dynamism that really brings the piece alive, and with contrasting, surreal scales, with massive mountains, and a figure with absurdly broad shoulders. Altogether this adds to an exciting, fun image for the viewer. On top of this, Goodman uses a classic blue/red colour scheme to create an image that simply works, and the skateboarding figure adds a nice bit of humour.
