Catalogue of Imaginary Beings, Plate 111 13” x 19” C-Type print
The seascape and blues, greens, and ochres of this piece work well in a bright room with natural flairs.
Here Goodman uses her surrealism in conjunction with a great use of colour to bring a traditional, naturalistic tone to the piece. This works well with the striking pose of the figure to form a pyrmaid-like composition that leads the eye to the figure's head, which acts a great focal point with this aspect sampled from a victorian portrait to add a charming detail.
